Google Business Profile reinstatement for siding and exterior contractors

Why Do Siding Companies Get Suspended on Google?

Short answer: Most siding contractors are suspended because their Google Business Profile setup doesn't match how the business really runs. The common problems are separate listings for siding, windows and gutters run by one company, a showroom address that isn't staffed, or product and brand names packed into the business name. Google reads these as signs of a fake or duplicate business, even when the company is completely real.

Siding is a considered purchase. Homeowners look at photos, read reviews and compare a few contractors before they ask for a quote, and much of that comparing happens on your Google profile. When it's suspended, your photos, reviews and quote requests all disappear from Maps at once.

We help siding and exterior contractors across the USA find the real cause, restructure the profile so it fits Google's rules, and file a well-documented appeal. There is no upfront payment: you pay once the profile is reinstated.

  • No upfront payment. You pay after Google brings your siding profile back.

Where Siding Contractors Run Into Trouble

These are the patterns we see behind most siding suspensions:

  • One company, several trade listingsSeparate profiles for "ABC Siding", "ABC Windows" and "ABC Gutters", all run by the same owner from the same office with the same staff, look like duplicates to Google. One business normally gets one profile.
  • Product and brand names in the business nameAdding "Vinyl Siding & Windows" or a manufacturer's brand to your name breaks Google's naming rules unless that is exactly what's on your registration, signage and invoices.
  • A showroom nobody is inA showroom only counts as a location if staff are there during the hours shown on the profile. An appointment-only or mostly empty showroom used as the public address is a frequent trigger.
  • Sales reps listing their home addressesReps who create profiles at their own homes to show up in their sales territory create extra listings the company doesn't control, and they can get the main profile suspended too.
  • A category chosen for traffic, not accuracyPicking "Roofing contractor" as the main category because it gets more searches, when most of your work is siding, adds to the doubt when Google reviews the profile. "Siding contractor" should be primary if siding is your main trade.
  • Phone numbers that don't matchA call-center number or a tracking line that appears nowhere else, while your website shows a different number, makes it harder for Google to tie the profile to a real business.

Should Siding, Windows and Gutters Have Separate Profiles?

Usually not. If one company does all three from the same office, it should have one profile. Use "Siding contractor" (or your main trade) as the primary category, add the others as secondary categories, and list each service on the profile.

Separate profiles are only safe when the businesses really are separate: each one registered on its own, with its own staff, its own phone number and its own signage at a location customers can visit. If that's not the case, we merge or remove the extra listings as part of the reinstatement, so the problem doesn't come back.

What Siding Contractors Search When This Happens

If you searched for any of these, you're in the right place:

  • siding contractor Google Maps listing removed
  • Google Business Profile suspended siding
  • separate Google listings for siding and windows
  • showroom address Google Business Profile suspended
  • exterior contractor GBP reinstatement

Our Reinstatement Process for Siding Companies

Most of the work happens before the appeal. A clean, consistent profile gives Google fewer reasons to say no.

STEP 01.

Map Your Listings

We find every profile, old and new, linked to your business, phone numbers, staff and addresses, then work out which one triggered the suspension.

STEP 02.

Restructure and Appeal

We correct the name, categories and address setup, plan what happens to any extra listings, and file the appeal with your documents.

STEP 03.

Reinstated, Then You Pay

Once Google restores the profile, you pay our fee. We'll also show your team which edits are safe to make in future.

Proof That Helps a Siding Appeal

Your case may need only some of these. We'll tell you which:

  • Your home improvement or contractor registration, where your state or city requires one
  • Business registration and a general liability insurance certificate in the same business name
  • Photos of your showroom or office with permanent signage and your posted opening hours
  • Photos of branded vans, trailers or job-site signs
  • A recent invoice or contract showing your business name and address (with customer details blacked out)
  • For a video check, the outside signage, the inside of the office or showroom, product samples and a branded vehicle. See our fixes for video verification problems if earlier attempts failed.

While You Wait for Google

  • Leave the other trade listings alone until there's a plan. Deleting or merging them in a panic can make the review harder.
  • Don't open a new profile for the same business. It will be treated as a duplicate.
  • Send quote requests to your website and make sure its name, phone number and address match your profile.
  • If leads slow down, a short Google Ads campaign can bring in quote requests until the profile is back.

FAQs for Siding Contractors

Do you charge siding contractors before the profile is back?

No. We investigate, fix the profile and file the appeal first. You pay only once Google reinstates your profile, and nothing for the reinstatement work if it isn't.

Can my siding and window businesses have separate Google profiles?

Only if they are truly separate businesses, each with its own registration, staff, phone number and signage. If one company does both, use one profile with siding as the primary category and windows as a secondary one.

Our showroom is open by appointment only. Can we use it as our address?

Google expects a public address to be staffed during the hours on the profile. If customers can't walk in during those hours, it's safer to set up as a service-area business and hide the address.

Can I use a siding manufacturer's brand in my business name?

Only if it's part of your real, registered business name and appears on your signage and paperwork. Otherwise, mention the brands you install in your description, services and photos.

Which Google category should a siding company choose?

Use "Siding contractor" as the primary category if siding is most of your work. Add related trades such as windows, gutters or roofing as secondary categories, but only for work you actually do.

Google already rejected my appeal. Can you still help?

Often, yes. A rejected appeal usually means the cause wasn't fixed or the evidence wasn't strong enough. We start again from the cause. It is still worth fixing properly before trying again, because each new rejection makes Google less likely to look closely.
